I went for their lunch menu which is a great way to try their world class wagyu beef without paying too much. For 2500 yen I had several marinated strips if wagyu on rice with some miss soup on the side. The beef was of course amazing but what really stands out here is the service. Incredibly friendly ladies in komos guide you with decent English through getting seated and ordering. A super authentic Japanese atmosphere as you are asked to remove your shoes and sit at ground level. They refilled my water within a minute everytime I finished and they bring you complimentary Japanese tea when you are done. Obviously the meal is small as is common with all these high end places, especially when you're not spending crazy money, but worth it for the atmosphere and amazing beef.

Very delicious food with great service! It’s a fancy restaurant, and expected the food is a little expensive, but worth the price because the beef I ordered is tendered, juicy, taste very good! I would come back to this place.

The lunch specials are a great value. The food is phenomenal and the staff is especially wonderful. The quality of meat is some of the best we had in Tokyo. Definitely worth the wait if there is one!

Nice experience overall. After you take off your shoes, they will show you to the second floor into your private room. If you need anything there is bell button for service.I like how they bring in seasonal appetizers and decorate it according to the season. They have shabuahabu and sukiyaki. I ordered Sukiyaki because I prefer sweeter soup base.Their beef sukiyaki is good, the beef is not too fatty but I think the size of each beef is a bit small. The staff will serve you in the beginning and teach you how to cook it yourself. They will provide seasonal fruits as dessert. At the end, they will bring you little gifts. It cost around ¥15,000 per person. Good experience overall.

Loved the suki set, should visit the lunch time 1130-300. They serve a affordable lunch set price. Noted, plenty of queues, better reserve (could reserve if 2ppl or more) or arrive a bot before the opening time of 1130.

This place is very underestimated. You can have one of the best places to experience the delicious wagyu beef in Tokyo. I can not recommend this place enough.

Great Shabu Shabu

If possible, get your hotel to make a reservation for you. We started at 7pm and by 830pm they are taking the last orders so I suggest not going there later than 7pm. One of the best sukiyaki around. Prices for the set starts from ¥8,000 all the way to ¥20,000, depending on the cut of beef. Those in the photos are the ¥10,000 set, and it’s already really good.

I would give this place 10 stars if I can! I went to this restaurant in Nov’19 but forgot a leave a review. A recent visit to a Manhattan shabu shabu place just reminded me how good Asakusa Imahan was, so here is my long over due review.The restaurant had a transitional and understated atmosphere. Each dining table has been kept private with separation. The lunch special was a really good deal and the beef was with great quality and literally melting in my mouth. The staff was so attentive as well. The whole lunch experience was flawless. I would go back again and again!

Best sukiyaki I’ve had, and probably the best meal in our Japan trip. I’d consider this a must-visit if you are willing to splurge on food a little. Try to get at least one order of the Kobe beef sukiyaki. You’ll sit on a traditional Japanese tatami. The waitress will walk you through most of the meal introducing all of the dishes and cook several pieces of the meats/veggies for you. The entire experience was great.

Pricy for dinner but a steal for lunch, quality Shanu Shabu and sukiyaki.

The service is good. The food is good. But the price is really really expensive. So do that note of that if you prefer to more budget friendly place.

The best meal we had in Japan! Food quality was great and so was the service. 10% of service fee was added if you spent more than certain amount but we were happy to pay for it. All staff speaks English and they are very friendly and attentive. This is a place where you can come by yourself, bring families, or for special occasions.

Excellent food and service. Went with my family and ordered the Kaiseki sukiyaki lunch. It was delicious. Worth every penny that you are paying.We went without reservation. We arrived just when they opened. No wait time.

This place was incredible. The service was exceptional even above average Japanese standards! The food was delicious as well as beautiful The price can be a bit over overwhelming. A about$120 per person. But they give you the best quality food and the portions are generous. 10/10 would go back again!

Super delicious. Traditional tatami mat seating, and traditionally dressed staff. Very attentive service. Really good food - we had the sukiyaki lunch set which was excellent. The lunch deals are great value for the quality of food and level of service. Would definitely go again!

Absolutely delicious food. I ordered one of the combination plates and everything I tried tasted great. The restaurant was not very busy at the time I arrived and I was promptly taken to the Japanese-style dining area. It was a bit of a struggle to seat in the low chairs but totally worth when the food arrived. Service was attentive and professional and the value for the food was good (not very cheap but the quality was excellent). I will definitely try to return here my next time in Tokyo.

Good quality, typical Japanese shabu shabu/Sukiyaki place. Sit down on "floor" tables where you take off your shoes. Great lunch deal. Very good quality meat. Mix of local customers and tourists.

Came for lunch cos it’s so much cheaper than dinner. ¥8200 sukiyaki set for twoLunch order cut off time 3pm. Make sure you arrive by then. Service was excellent. We asked if we can cook the dipping egg instead of letting it go to waste.

Spent the money to enjoy. Budget with 20k yen and u will enjoy to thr fullest. Come early and eat the special dish, only 20 serving per day.
